In Loving Memory of Vertle L. Gardner Home going services held Saturday, February 7, 2015 11:00 A.M. Ash Street Missionary Baptist Church Corner of Ash and Trotter Streets Dermott, AR Pastor R.C. Barnes Officiating Mrs. Gardner passed away on Monday Feb 1, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was survived by one daughter, Essie L. Coley (Jessie) of Little Rock; one granddaughter, LaSandra Wilson (Bobby) of Little Rock. Mrs. Gardner also has five sisters, Sammie Hawkins of Dermott, AR, Mary Tate of McGehee, AR, Sylivia Bercy (Aubrey) of Bellwood, IL; Lenora Johnson of San Antonio, TX, and Charley Polk of Winter Haven, Fl. She had two brothers, Benjamin Giles (Jewel) and Berl Giles (Gloria) of Lakeland, FL; Six great grandchildren and 17 great, great grandchildren. Mrs. Gardner was buried in Holly Grove Cemetery, Gaines Landing, AR. Services were entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home and Staff - Dermott location - 210 N. Trotter Street. Visitation with family and friends occurred at the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel Feb 6 from 6-7 pm. .
