Jones - Officiating Mistress of Ceremony - Sis Dian Jones Sunrise: Sep. 10, 1931 | Sunset: Nov. 18, 2018 Robert Lee Haney was born September 10, 1931 as the third child to the late Elliot and Lillie Bell Haney. He transitioned on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at his home at 1455 King Street, Eudora, AR, having given his soul to God and taking flight to his eternal rest. Robert confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. E.L. Carter. He joined Jericho Missionary Baptist Church where he was an usher until health failed him. Robert met and married the love his life, the late Elnora "Pudden" Thomas Haney on August 1, 1950. To this union, two children were born: one son, Norris Haney, who preceded him in death, and one daughter, Carla Rochelle Washington. Robert worked at the saw mill in Eudora, Arkansas until 1973. He then became employed by Eudora Garment Factory where he worked until retiring in 2003. Robert loved gardening, playing the harmonica, hunting, fishing, and most of all, he had a deep love for his family. Robert was the last of his family, who also preceded him in death: two brothers. Johnny and Isaac Haney; two sisters: Teresa and Martha Haney. Robert's cherished memories will forever be embedded in the hearts of his loved ones: Carla Washington (Darnell), Debra Wooten (Jimmy), of St. Louis, MO; Barbara Landers (Sam), a niece he raised as his daughter; seven grandchildren, four (4) granddaughters: Darkeia Washington and Tierney Washington of Eudora, AR; Jena Pleasant and Andrea Holmes of Kansas City, MO, and three (3) grandsons: DeCarlan Seawood of St. Louis, MO, Marcus Thomas of Atlanta, GA, and Samuel Sanders of TX. Two (2) goddaughters: Danielle Gonzalez of Dallas, TX and Faydra Montgomery of Pine Bluff, AR; a special niece, Dorothy Brown; and nephews Tommie Brown and Johnnie Brown of Eudora, AR. Robert also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, life-long friends from across he land, his dog Smixite Haney and his adorable cat, Lovely Haney.
