John Juneis Vanlandingham Age 68 of Lake Village, Arkansas died on Tuesday , June 15, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on November 20, 1952 to John, SR and Mary Riley VAnlandingham. He was the second of six children.
He was a graduate of Central High School in Lake Village Arkansas. After graduating John enlisted in the Military where he served in Vietnam. John was Honorably Discharged and made his home in Benton, AR During his stay in Benton he worked as a medical assistant for over 10 years.
John later moved to Longview, Texas and held down several jobs including bus driver, dispatcher for the County Jail as well as correctional officer for juveniles, where he became ill and could no longer work.. John then met and married Kimberly Sheffield-Valandingham.
John J. Vanlandingham was preceded in death by his parents the late John, Sr. & Mary Riley Vanlandingham, baby sister Edna Raye Vanlandingham and baby brother Stephen D. Vanlandingham.
He leaves to cherish his memories a special son Timothy Lucas of Texas. Three sisters, Mary Louise Scott (Richard) of Tupelo, MS, Bobbie Green of Lake Village, ARkansas and Gloria Vanlandingham, Garmon (Dennis) of Tupelo, MS and a host of nieces, Nephew, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral Services for MR. JOHN JUNEIS VANLANDINGHAM, age 58, of Lake Village, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021. Service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, East St. Mary Street, Lake Village; Rev. Cecil Paul King, pastor and officiating minister.
Burial will be in the New Cemetery Lake Village, AR
