Jessie Chapmon Jr. departed this life on February 10, 2014 at his home. Jessie was born July 16, 1949 to Levada Chapmon and the late Jessie Chapmon Sr., Jessie was born on Red Leaf Plantation. He graduated from Central High, the class of "68". He was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving from 1968 -1971. After his tour of duty, he returned back to Lake Village, and worked at Al's Truck Stop for many years.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother Levada Chapmon. Four sisters: Mable Hicks of Chicago, 111, Levada (Walter) Smith of Greenville, MS, Ms. Inez Chapmon, of Lake Village, AR, and Rosie (Lovell) Kilpatrick, of McGehee, AR. One Brother: Eligha Chapmon, of Lake Village, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Preceding him in death is one sister, Sarah Chapmon, and one brother Johnny White..
