OBITUARY

Edmond Lee "Tank" Shelton entered this world on March 7, 1991 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Pine Bluff AR. He exited this world on May28, 2020 at the age of 29.
He is survived by his wife Ryeshia Shelton; two children, Samuel "Chunk" Shelton and Zola Nacole Shelton; parents Mary (Cebra) Jordan and Lee (Jeanette) Shelton; two brothers, Edward (Shaniekwa) Shelton and Lee Shelton; two sisters Amber Shelton and Demetria Shelton. His grandparents Eddie (Idell) Briley, His father and mother in laws Sammie (Christine) Page and his God Parents Don (Dorothy) Glover.
Edmond became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church at an early age where he served as a youth director, praise and worship leader and deacon under the leadership of Rev. Ricky Lattimore Sr. until his death.
Edmond attended and graduated Dermott High School in the summer of 2008. He attended Arkansas Boys State and won a seat on their board. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and received a bachelors degree in Social Work. He worked for the Department of Human Service in Monticello and Lake Village Arkansas. He was the student of the year in 2013. He served as na Alderman for the city of Dermott for two years. After becoming Alderman, he was the youngest elected official to sit on the executive board of the Arkansas Municipal League.
Edmond Truly loved the Lord with all his heart and he made it known everywhere he went and with whomever he met.
Edmond's Life was characterized with one simple word "GIVING". He was always there for family, friends, and acquaintances even during periods of his life when he was very ill. He accomplished his life's dreams through his quest for educational excellence and brought that excellence to everyone in his circle, even through his illness. He served as an example for people around him. He blended a great sense of humor with poise and grace. Edmond was always generous with his time and attention when it came to his family and friends. He never looked for praises. He was never one to boast, he just went on quietly working for the Lord.
Edmond was blessed with so many people who loved him; his extended brothers Loeashia Gammel, Doven Glover, Gary Coleman, and many, many more. A host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
