PASTOR DONALD DOUGLAS MANNINGS
Funeral Services for Pastor Donald Douglas Mannings, 80, of Parkdale, AR will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022. Service will be held at First Baptist Church, Wilmot; Rev. William M. Freeman, Jr., Pastor and Officiating Minister
Mr. Manning was born on November 11, 1941 to Arstena Thornton Mannings Blackmon in Portland, Arkansas. He attended school in Portland and graduated from Tillis High School. He was married to the late Carol Gunnels who preceded him in death. Donald was a member of First Baptist Church, Wilmot; Rev. William Freeman, Jr, Pastor. He was also the pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church, Highway 8, Parkdale.
Donald worked in many profession during his lifetime; he was a Truck Driver, Logger for Georgia Pacific; he did farming and was a self employed Carpenter/Electrician. He loved reading his Bible and enjoyed raising hogs.
Mr. Mannings passed on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock. He leaves as survivors four children, Lee Manning of Bryant, AR, Terry Manning of Oklahoma City, OK, Ramon Manning (Loretta Vaughan) of Hamburg, AR, and Donna Whitaker (Eddie) of Branson, MO; two stepsons, Charles Livingston of Little Rock and Chester Lark of Fayetteville; two sisters, Geraldine Brazzle (Ira) and Jo Ann Blackmon both of Houston, TX; 15 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing of Mr. Mannings will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott, AR.
Burial will take place in Holly Grove Cemetery, Portland. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott.
