In Loving Memory of Janie Mae Rodgers Home going services held Sunday, August 19, 2017 11:00 A.M. Ash Street Missionary Baptist Church Corner of Ash and Trotter Street Dermott, AR 71638 Rev. R.C. Barnes, Officiating Janie Mae Rodgers was born to Emmit and Dorothy Scruggs. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Ash Street Missionary Baptist Church under the auspices of Rev. Austin where she remained until God called her home on August 9, 2017. She was a loving mother to her children and helped others along the way. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Be Rodgers. She leaves to cherish her memories: five brothers and four sisters; Willie Scruggs (Portland, OR), Sarah Brown (Little Rock, AR), Henry Scruggs (Little Rock, AR), Deava McGhee (Portland, OR), Linda Brown (Little Rock, AR), Irene Scruggs (Little Rock, AR), Robert Mitchell (Little Rock), James Patterson (Little Rock), five children: Shawanna Brown, Lawrence Brown, Bryan Brown, Iris Brown, and Brandon Brown. Sixteen grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends ad family.
